10 Places to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Livingston County

March 15, 2019 | Story by: Amelia Ritter

St. Patrick’s Day weekend is upon us and the Brighton-Howell Area is ready to celebrate! Lucky for you, whether you’re looking for delicious Irish fare, bagpipes, step-dancers, or your yearly fix of green beer, you can find it in Livingston County! Don your best green gear and keep your eye out for four-leaf clovers as you get ready to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day.

Eternity Brewing

Everyone is Irish (and Polish) at Eternity Brewing Co. on St. Patrick’s Day. The brewery will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a food pop-up from Krysia’s Kitchen starting at 11 a.m. With authentic Polish food on the menu, this grub is sure to pair perfectly with Eternity’s favorite Irish-style beers. Crimson Crash will be a new release for the holiday. It’s a simple Irish Red Ale, with a pleasant caramel and biscuity malt character, and beautiful copper color. It has an ABV of 5.4%. Sheridan’s Surprise, their barrel-aged Irish Imperial Stout Coffee, will also be on tap. It’s named in honor of the inventor of Irish coffee, and it’s loaded with vanilla, lactose, and coffee for a boozy, sweet Irish treat! It has an ABV of 10.5%. Lastly, Mission Dry Stout will be on tap! It’s an Irish Stout that’s smooth and full-bodied, with lots of character from the abundant roasted malts. It has an ABV of 4.9%.

Cleary’s Pub

Get in the celebrating spirit at Cleary’s Pub for St. Paddy’s Day weekend! Enjoy food and drink specials, as well as live music from local favorites. You can enjoy delicious food, cold beer, and a fun Irish-themed environment year-round at Cleary’s Pub, so you know it’ll be an even bigger party on St. Patrick’s Day! Bring on the green beer!

Buon Gusto

Always a great choice for fresh and flavorful food, Buon Gusto is joining in on the fun with specials for St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday. Enjoy shepherd’s pie, Irish mussels, and Irish bread pudding on the food menu. Pair those with $1 draft beers and $2.50 bottles.

The menu at 2Fog’s is already a hit, featuring favorites like scotch eggs, the lamb burger, and warm bread pudding. For St. Patrick’s Day, they’re offering three very special meals: Green eggs and ham topped with herbs and prosciutto; corned beef and cabbage featuring housemade corned beef, apple braised cabbage, roasted rooster potatoes, and tri-color carrots; shepherd’s pie with lamb and beef stew, a melange of vegetables, and mashed potatoes. Eat up!

The special beer features a mini mint chocolate cupcake, a sweet treat that you do not want to miss out on!

Pinckney Parade

If you’re looking for fun for the whole family, head to downtown Pinckney on Saturday the 16th! The fun kicks off at 10am with the Run for the Gold 5k, followed by the cutest leprechaun contest and Irish dancers. At 12pm the parade steps off from the Pinckney Historical Cemetery and travels east down Main Street. Remember to wear green!
